WRHA CEO Milton Sussman explained when Singh arrived at Seven Oaks, she was not properly assessed. He said they’re taking the matter seriously and taking steps to improve patient safety.
Those steps include an emergency leadership group. It’s in place at Seven Oaks’ ER department for the next six weeks following patients from arrival to discharge.
In addition, an ER department review team is being created to assess operations in all hospitals. They will make planned and unannounced visits. It will release quarterly reports starting next month.
