The Partnerships for Evaluation and Policy Research (PEPR) team is looking for a Research Assistant (RA) that will construct a model to estimate the optimal mix of medical vehicles needed to service a geographic area and assess how the optimal number would impact wait times and utilization rates. The aim is to produce a strategy that would reduce the strain on the EMS system in Ontario. The focus of the project will be on non-emergency private transportation services. However, the model may be extended to include emergency service vehicles in a later phase of the project. The RA will also produce a user-friendly template of the model for use by non-expert policymakers. The RA must be able to start in February and some funding is available.
