News Item – Expert suggests skipping holidays this year as COVID-19 looms over Thanksgiving dinner

Dionne Aleman, associate professor of industrial engineering, CHE affiliate and pandemic growth expert at the University of Toronto, recommends Canadians skip holiday dinners altogether this year.

“B.C., Ontario, Quebec. We’re all in a very severe second wave. Certainly looking like it’s going to be worse than the first wave. We all need to take all the precautions we can to prevent things from getting worse. To hopefully try to stave off trying to return to a full lockdown,” she said.
