“A little bit of new infrastructure can go a long way,” said Timothy Chan, a U of T professor of mechanical and industrial engineering and CHE affiliate, who co-authored the study. “The bike lanes that were put in during the pandemic had a surprisingly big impact in terms of adding connectivity to the city.”
