News Item – Good news: The spread of COVID-19 has slowed. Bad news: It probably won’t last

Dionne Aleman is an industrial engineering professor and CHE affiliate at the University of Toronto and researches pandemic modelling. Aleman says that even though Ontario’s COVID-19 cases are growing, the effective reproduction number is decreasing. This doesn’t mean that cases are decreasing, but it does mean that the speed in which they increase is slowing down — and that’s a good sign.
